Hey fam, I had the privilege of trying the Scorpion Chop Steak & Lobster Experience at Ascend Steak House in Bellevue and let me tell you, it was fire. The drinks alone were worth the trip.

First up, the Knight Rider. This cocktail is made with Espolon blanco tequila, Canton ginger, Aperol, lemon, yuzu, lime, and pineapple demerara. The smooth tequila, combined with the heat from the ginger and Aperol, is balanced out by the freshness of the citrus and sweetness of the pineapple. It’s not too sweet, making it perfect for those who like their drinks on the more complex side. Plus, the presentation is on point.

Next up, the Golden Hour. This drink is a real game changer, made with Tequila Ocho Plata, Vago Elote, Walnut Liqueur, lemon, lime, guava, kiwi, orgeat, and topped off with some sparkling. The smooth tequila is elevated by the unique flavors of Vago Elote and Walnut Liqueur, while the tropical vibe from guava, kiwi, and orgeat will have you feeling like you’re on a beach. The perfect balance of sweet and sour from the lemon and lime, combined with the sparkling, makes this drink a must-try.

Now, let’s talk about the food. If you’re looking for a vegan twist on traditional crab cakes, the jackfruit “krab” cakes are the way to go. Made with young green jackfruit, these cakes have a meaty texture that mimics crab meat and are paired with a creamy corn pudding, spicy carrot romesco, tangy meyer lemon tofu tarutaru sauce, and fresh fresno chile corn relish.

And for something fun and unique, try the sushi tacos filled with fresh tuna or tobiko and topped with a ginger carrot slaw, wafu daikon oroshi, and sweet mango. The Spicy Tuna & Prosciutto Roll is a delicious and unique combination of flavors. The spicy tuna is perfectly balanced with the creamy avocado and the salty bottarga. The tomato relish adds a fresh and tangy note, while the bubu arare provides a crunchy texture. It is definitely a must-try for those who love sushi with a little extra kick.  The King Salmon Ceviche Roll is a fresh and light option. The combination of cilantro, onion, asian pear, tomato, and avocado creates a refreshing and well-rounded flavor profile. The ume vinaigrette adds a touch of sourness that pairs well with the mild salmon. Overall, it is a great choice for those who prefer a brighter and more acidic taste.

And for those who love creamy, comforting potatoes, the potato puree & butter made with yukon gold and okinawan sweet potatoes are a perfect side dish.  The dungeness crab mac & cheese, made with fresh crab and a crab veloute, is a creamy, decadent twist on the classic dish, topped with edamame, red bell peppers, parsley breadcrumbs, and shichimi togarashi.  Finally, suppose you’re looking for a healthy and flavorful side. In that case, the grilled fall vegetables featuring braised lotus root, charred caulilini gremolata, crunchy bamboo shoots, spicy rayu, grilled asparagus, and braised daikon are a must-try.

And last but not least, the main event! The American wagyu Mishima ultra triple chop is next level. It’s been miso cured for 4 hours to intensify the umami of the wagyu beef and then seasoned with a special Ascend cowboy rub with many spices. The steak is marked on the grill, baked with whipped gochujang butter, and seared to perfection. The lobster roulade, stuffed with scallop and citrus mousse, is finished with butter basting and a sea urchin aioli. And to top it off, the dish is garnished with shoyu truffle beurre blanc, fresh shaved truffles, and osetra caviar.

These delectable desserts offer a unique blend of flavors and textures, sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. For example, “Magic Mushroom” combines the rich taste of white chocolate cherry mousse with the earthy undertones of matcha shortbread. And if you have anything to celebrate, the “Skyfall” dry ice presentation is a show stopper! It brings together the bold flavor of miso chocolate caramel with the light, airy texture of goat cheese panna cotta.

In conclusion, the Scorpion Chop Steak & Lobster Experience at Ascend Steak House in Bellevue is a dining experience that’ll blow your taste buds away.
